Eric joined Tilson Financial Group in 2021 after six years at Prudential Financial, bringing institutional-scale experience to a firm built on personal relationships. His background in insurance and investment management gives him a unique vantage point on risk, and his commitment to responsiveness reflects the Tilson standard: every client question answered within 24 hours, every concern taken seriously, every plan treated as personal. As part of the firm’s next-generation leadership alongside his brother Rob, Eric is focused on ensuring that the service model clients rely on today is built to last.
EXPERIENCE
Eric’s main focus is on comprehensive financial planning and building long-term client relationships. His responsibilities span investment analysis, tax planning, estate planning, and client service, and he serves on the firm’s financial planning and investment committees. He is especially attuned to the operational details that keep a client’s financial life running smoothly. Eric works closely with accountants on tax return issues and with attorneys on updating estate planning documents to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. This kind of hands-on presence defines the Tilson approach.
Credentials and Education
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®). Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Lafayette College. MBA with concentration in Strategy and Financial Instruments and Markets, New York University Stern School of Business.
Beyond The Office
Eric lives in Hoboken, NJ with his wife, Michelle, and daughter, Aubrey. Eric has run 5 NYC marathons as an active supporter of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Fred’s Team charity. He enjoys golf and tennis and is a fan of the New York Jets.
